Description
Temperature switches are generally used in industry to limit temperatures. They monitor the temperature of machines and devices and switch off the machine or switch on a fan to cool the device in the event of overheating, for example.

Function
The TFS135 temperature switches are based on bimetals.
The temperature is detected by means of a bimetallic disc, which is activated when the
switching temperature (NST) is reached.
After cooling down to the reset temperature (RST), the switch returns to its original state.
The reset temperature is typically 15 ... 30 K below the switching temperature.
Contact design
The bimetal temperature switch type TFS135 is equipped with a normally closed contact.
An NC contact (NC = Normally Closed) opens a circuit and switches off a machine.
After cooling down below the reset temperature, the contact returns to its original state so that the monitored device can resume normal operation.
